ABOUT US
Known – since 2006 – under the domain name “medicaljournals.se”, the editorial offices of Acta Dermato-Venereologica and Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine now constitute a single organization, called Medical Journals Sweden AB (MJS), with ability to also offer its services to other interested journals in the research community.
MEDICAL JOURNALS SWEDEN AS A PUBLISHING PARTNER
Journals choosing to publish with us are free to make their own decisions on what policies they want to adopt for their journals, what routines to follow and so on, as long as they are in line with the core values of MJS. Transparency, integrity and flexibility underline our relationships with journal owners.
In partnership with our journal owners, authors and editors we want to make sure that research and knowledge is shared as widely as possible, impacting academia and beyond globally. Together with the reviewers we ensure that all work we publish meets the highest academic standards by ensuring rigorous peer review and editorial editing.
OWNERS AND BOARD
BY SCHOLARS, FOR SCHOLARS
MJS is owned by two non-profit organizations, Society for Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica and Foundation of Rehabilitation Information, as equal and sole shareholders. A not-for-profit ideology makes it possible to keep publication fees as low as possible. Any surplus will be reinvested in the publishing services and returned to the journal owner organizations, with the purpose of benefitting research and education. The board consists of four academic persons recruited by the owners, as well as the former editorial manager of Medicaljournals.se, ensuring that we work in close contact with academia and authors from around the world.
