Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine is now entering a new phase in order to meet the demands of worldwide Open Access. From June 2008 a page charge will apply to all published papers. Authors can still submit papers to us free of charge. We will complete the editorial administration and send them for peer review at no cost to the authors. For papers accepted for publication, a fee of €30/printed page will apply. Excluded from this fee will be Reviews, Invited Special Reports, Letters to the Editor, News letters. Also excluded are authors coming from countries according to WHO with too low GNI per capita.
Authors will also have the opportunity to purchase immediate Open Access for €150/page in order that their paper is made accessible 6 months earlier than for normal papers. In the long run this will have the positive effect of more and more material being published on an Open Access basis and becoming freely available to a wider audience.
